It's been a while since I've been on here - I'm sure everyone knows how busy this time of year is.
Friday night we had our Sunday School Christmas Party - it was a lot of fun...everyone brought "finger foods" and a dessert - Yummers! I decided to make meat balls, and rice krispy treats. I thought "what the heck" and got festive with the treats. I made the krispys....one bag of marsh mellows, 1/4 cup of butter (medium low).....stir until melted....then took them off the burner and added about 15 drops of green food coloring. I made two different batches (one light, one dark). I put them in a round shaped pan and let them harden, I then cut them into triangles (tree shaped) and arranged them on a platter. I then took white icing and died it red (for glue) and stuck red and green sixlets as ornaments. They were a big hit :-)
Saturday I ran a childrens ornament making workshop at my job - it was very nice. I'll put the 'before' pics. (These are not all the pics...just a few - McKenna came and helped out)Saturday night was a big night - we had our local Christmas Parade...and the Festival of Lights at the Park. We made it to the parade, which was actually a nice time. We didn't make it to the park, we may end up going tonight...it was WAY too crowded.....they gave away free hot chocolate, marsh mellows, and hotdogs......come on people.....you know it was a war-zone! I can go any time - so we'll hit it up soon. :-)
On the way to the Parade
Brylee was upset...she saw the ugly sticker on C's truck and it scared her
Brylee on the Scout....candy in hand and ready for more!
OK...check out the PJ's....and the green tights - rawr!
To end it...the BIG guy himself!! We had a wonderful time! I still cannot believe next week is Christmas!!
