The days that follow

Well Christmas has come and gone..way too quickly. I've been so busy - I haven't made any time for blogging or doing anything for myself.
I'm going to play a little catch up - this will be mainly pictures.

The Sunday before Christmas in new Christmas outfits - McKenna was at Grammy's house. Brylee was proud of the sparkles on her dress.
Baking cookies for Santa on Christmas eve. Debating what is under the tree.....wanting to open "just one"Sleeping with mommy.....Christmas Even - we did not trust these little angels in their own rooms. What a glorious night of sweet sleep ~cough cough~

The before shots.......

Brylee opening presents......then cooking for us - mmmmm it's yummy stuff!
Braxton got his train table that he wanted
He also got a Grave Digger.....which he and Brylee both ride.

"Thumbs UP"

McKenna found her cell phone.....wait - a computer, printer...cell phone? Is there more?

oh yea...even an ipod! How spoiled are these children?!?! I did trick her with this one - I wrapped it in like 8 different boxes. She got excited it was wrapped in a PS3 box (which is what dad got for christmas).....as if she didn't get enough!
I'm going to end on this note....they did get more things - thanks to grandparents...aunts and uncles. I may update with those pics later!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas - my family sure did. I feel very very blessed!

I've been meaning to do this for a while, Kristen - All Because of Grace tagged me with Picture tag.

Here are the rules:

1) Choose the 4th folder where you store your pictures on your computer
2) Select the 4th picture in the folder
3) Explain the picture
4) Tag 4 people to do the same

This is the hubs and Brylee...he is making her do a WWE wrestling move - sigh "The crotch chop" of course she thinks it is funny :-)

I tag: Rose (House of Rose), Andrea (A Burns life), Mrs. Cupcake (Just a thought), and Mrs. Buck (Mrs. Bliss)

Thanks for the tag Kristen!!

Fa la la la la

It's been a while since I've been on here - I'm sure everyone knows how busy this time of year is.

Friday night we had our Sunday School Christmas Party - it was a lot of fun...everyone brought "finger foods" and a dessert - Yummers! I decided to make meat balls, and rice krispy treats. I thought "what the heck" and got festive with the treats. I made the krispys....one bag of marsh mellows, 1/4 cup of butter (medium low).....stir until melted....then took them off the burner and added about 15 drops of green food coloring. I made two different batches (one light, one dark). I put them in a round shaped pan and let them harden, I then cut them into triangles (tree shaped) and arranged them on a platter. I then took white icing and died it red (for glue) and stuck red and green sixlets as ornaments. They were a big hit :-)
Saturday I ran a childrens ornament making workshop at my job - it was very nice. I'll put the 'before' pics. (These are not all the pics...just a few - McKenna came and helped out)

Saturday night was a big night - we had our local Christmas Parade...and the Festival of Lights at the Park. We made it to the parade, which was actually a nice time. We didn't make it to the park, we may end up going tonight...it was WAY too crowded.....they gave away free hot chocolate, marsh mellows, and hotdogs......come on people.....you know it was a war-zone! I can go any time - so we'll hit it up soon. :-)

On the way to the Parade

Brylee was upset...she saw the ugly sticker on C's truck and it scared her

Brylee on the Scout....candy in hand and ready for more!

OK...check out the PJ's....and the green tights - rawr!

To end it...the BIG guy himself!! We had a wonderful time! I still cannot believe next week is Christmas!!

Christmas Pictures

I decided to get the kiddos some-what dressed the same - well the same color concept at any rate. I of course decided to this before church - ha as if getting them ready for church isn't a feet enough in itself!!!!!!!

McKenna of course does a fine job(most of the time) - Braxton of course likes to make faces (I have NO idea where he gets that from - Abbi, my sis in her blog "a tid bit of taylor" mentioned her hubby has a go to face...oh boy my hubs does to...I will have to post some at a later date, he never ever smiles in pics). OK onward I go..........Brylee - the baby if you will......does not ever ever sit still - much less look at the camra. Needless to say - I was a tad bit frazzled by the end of this event.
Here you have it:

First Attempt

Getting the idea?

There are a lot of these folks - I will try to post some better ones now??

Christmas Parade...aka - police cars, big trucks, and loud sirens

Last night we had the joy and pleasure of going to the Christmas Parade in the Big town of Lake City. Nah actually folks it's a pretty good little parade, they do a jam up job. It lasted around 45 mins to an hour. Not bad for a small town parade. (White Springs is Dec 13....ummm 7.3 minutes long - for realz..if that)

The kids had an absolute blast - that is what counts. Here in Florida it's been around 70ish - but of course the night they have the parade it drops 40 degrees! But it does make it feel Christmasy.

We bundled up the kiddos and loaded up the heard and headed into the big city!!

McKenna (The Roach - I'll have to get into this at a later time) all nice an snuggly warm

Braxton...boy did he love the police cars...fire engines...motorcycles.........umm LOUDNESS

OFFFF course Brylee turning her head on EVERY picture I would try to take of her. She was right and ready to pounce on any...and I mean any candy thrown our way. She made out like a bandit.

Look quick you can see Brylee's face!

Floats!

Look.....Santa's little ho ho ho..........No for real - look closely - this chick was standing beside us the entire night...and yes she was dressed like this for the parade...jiggling her..well what her momma gave her. Oh yes....her "Santa" yea right...outfit and leather..or should I say pleather boots up to her thighs........it was a sight....a sight I would have rather not have seen.

OK...for real...here is the "Big Guy" Santa - he ended the parade - on a lighted Choo Choo - it was cute..and a good time was had by all :-) How can you go wrong - balloons, candy, floats, police cars, fire engines - bands...... fun stuff people fun stuff. Not to mention I got to see one of Santa's helpers *cough* up close and personal. I RULE.

Tree Trimming

I didn't write on Thanksgiving...so much has been going on - but I do have a LOT to be thankful for. First off I am very thankful for a God that sent his Son to die on a cross so that we can have eternal life. I am thankful for SO many other things. My husband, he is such a wonderful man - he gives me strength, he makes me happy - I have a wonderful blessed life many thanks to him. I am thankful for my 3 children...they are so wonderful, they make life worth living. Also, I am thankful for my family, I couldn't ask for a better family - they are very special to me. There are so many more things...but these rank top on my list.

Many people venture out on "Black Friday" I did this once upon a time. I don't really care for it, it is OK - my sister Abbi (a tid bit of Taylor) tried her best to get me to go on the adventure with her and my mom...I declined. I decided to do my Christmas decorating instead. I do have some top secret information for Black Friday. This is on the down low. I would get up about oh say 30 minutes earlier than I should and would cook me a grilled cheese..and pop a "few" I use that word loosely excedrine. Now this comes in handy...because 1/2 way through shopping people start falling out...they are hungry they have a headache (oh yes I was one of those people)..not me though....I would say "what...we have to keep going it's not time for a break"!! ha ha on them I ate before the trip..oh yes I would eat that good ol' Dennys/Cracker B breakfast later that morning...but I would fix myself a jump-start breakfast...ladies this works WONDERS!

OK..onto my tree trimming. The kiddos and myself started decorating the house. The hubs - germs as I call him does the outside of the house, oh yes my friends...it's the Grizzwald Christmas, I will be posting pictures later - we're not quite there yet. Anyway - Germs had to "run" into town and pick up one of our gifts for a certain someone I can't name who.

So.....to no further a-due (did I spell that right?) Here is our "tree trimming" or the start of it anyway:

McKenna finding that special place on the tree - she is a little like me and has to find that "certain" spot for the decorations. (of course Braxton has to climb up to reach the top - mom can't do it)

Here is Braxton starting to decorate

Here is Brylee...she is some what difficult to get pictures of..she doesn't slow down long enough for you to get picture sof her. It's a bit blurry, but I'll take what I can get!

Looking good - but I still have some finishing touches. Yes I do cover all of my pictures in wrapping paper (this isn't finished I have to do my bow) - I like for everything to match. Ask my sister Abbi - I can be a tad bit OCD about things..I can't help it, it's just how I am. She and my cousin tend to make fun of me. I am just ummm corky about things.

The mantel is "almost there" I still have to do some finishing touches (see the cord - that is a no-no)

My Carolers....this isn't quite finished yet...some of the Carolers had a mis-hap...they are in the hospital right now getting some work done :-) Hopefully they will be out soon, oh how I miss them.

I didn't take a picture of the dining room - I will update later with all my finished pictures. It takes me a little time to get it "just so". I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know we did....it was a WONDERFUL/not long enough weekend!!! I am very blessed!
